I'm the advisor for the Parkside High School Anime Club in Salisbury, MD. We're planning on coming. Wanted to know what the deal is with lunch. How much money should each person bring for food? Also, while I'm at it... what's a reasonable amount of money to bring to be able to appreciate Dealers' Row?

Hi, I just want to say its great to know other local anime clubs are showing interest in the con I always love meeting other clubs. Please make sure the club leadership stops by the Local anime club leadership summit at the con. But anyway about costs....

I would say $5 per meal is sufficient. Last year we sold pizza for $2 and a soda for $1. There are will also be a variety of baked good, ramen and other food, but if you are just looking for a standard meal $5 is good. If you are staying for the entire con I would advise you bring enough money for 2 meals or at least 1 meal and a good amount of snacks.

As for the dealer's area. I would say it really depends on how much you want to buy. Personal experiance says that  $10-30 is the medium range for price per item (i.e. a plushie, t-shirt, hat, manga, etc.). Also keep in mind that some dealers sell speaciality item that will cost a good deal more per item (lolita fashion, prop weapons, etc.) and if anyone has specific interest in those they should keep an eye out for when we update our dealers list theat way is something really catches someone's eye they know to bring the money for it.

And don't forget about the artist alley which is great place to purchase fanart and trinkets. The middle range there is probably $5-15. We will also be post a list of artists later on so attendees can know what to expect there as well.

So it really depends on what u want. If you want to leave with a few art prints or one thing from the dealers row and a full stomach I'd say $40 is enough to come home with change. If you are really looking to take advantage of the available merchandise for sale i'd say take more (multiply the mid range cost by however much i want to buy). And on the flip side if someone really doesn't want to spend money they are able to get by with a packed lunch and the entrance fee.
