CHS Otaku Fest

So what is the layout going to be like in terms of what room is _____ going to be? I don't know the layout of the high school, but what is going to be used, like the gymnasium, cafeteria, classrooms, hallway, etc.

We don't have an offical layout to show anyone yet. But we will be using the auditorium for the masquerade and AMV contests. The artists alley will mostly likely be an actual hallway which is inbetween the auditorium and the gym. The dealers room will be in the gym. 1/2 of the cafeteria will be the video game room and the other 1/2 will be used for various event and food sales.  Panels and anime will be in rooms that are scattered near the cafetaria and auditorium. Random Otaku Events and such will either be held in part of the gym, or part of the cafeteria. Band will be found in either the cafeteria or the auditorium depending on preference and schedualing.

if you want to see a map one will be posted up on this site sometime much closer to actual con date. Dealers and artists and other guest/vendor type atendees will recieve maps sooner than offical release so they know where to go for set up. But these maps may be lacking some detials and are mostly explain how to navigate to the needed space.  if really want a map i can send a poorly made a disprotionate map of the con area that i made on paint, but the proportions are so off i doubt it helps much.

Ok. Maybe you could scan a school map, crop it to the area used, and post it on the site instead. I just have to ask: Can I get a table closer to the gym?  :3

Ok so... TOTALLY DISREGARD MY PREIVOUS POST! there have been some changes...

the admins at the school have decided we are not allowed to use the gym.  This is apperently because having a bunch of otaku risks damaging the floor more than an army of basket ball players so... WE HAVE NEW LAYOUT. It still rough so i wont post the map yet, but... the dealer's room has moved to the cafeteria and because the school fear massive concert riots so have the band performances. the space is big enough that we can seperate it into enough spaces for all this to go on at the same time, but this functionally makes the cafeteria the central hub of the con. There are 3 doors leading in and each one leads to a different space. The cafeteria is at the very front entrance of the school so i suppose it is rather convnient. As for the artist alley its now move to the same hall as the cafeteria tho its not directly infront of it.  THe auditorium is still for the amvs and masquerade and we may have a table top gaming space. I will probably post a semblance of a map next week.

Perhaps when there are no band performances, you should open that area up to karaoke or to anyone else who want to bring in their instruments and play... or something. I dunno. Just an idea.

Any updates on the map for the con? I know most of us would like to get an idea of the layout prior to getting there ~ if possible O_o
