CHS Otaku Fest

I invited my friend Beverly to come with me to this anime convention since it seemed pretty fun and it was close by. What I do need help with is that her parents wont let her go. They think that these anime conventions have all the stuff that are in stores, and that there is no need to come. And because they dont know my parents and siblings they wont let her go. If you could please prove that this anime convention is safe and worth going to it would really help me!

Have you been to this before? That might help you, but... you're saying they think that she doesn't need to go because anime conventions have all the stuff that's in stores? That makes no sense. There's manga and anime and pocky and whatnot to buy, but there's also art you can buy in the artist alley. And besides, the point of a convention isn't to buy stuff (because you probably could buy a lot of that elsewhere), it's for having fun and being the insane otakus we are. And from the past two years, I've gone, it was definitely worth going.

I don't know if that will help, but...
