I was wondering if all the cosplay costumes have to be hand made? I was thinking of going as Misa Amane from Death Note whereas some of my friends were thinking about going as other Death Note Characters. I dont think we were planning on being in any cosplay contests (if there is) but all of our clothes are probably (more like most definately) not going to be hand made. Our "costumes" will pretty much consist of a shirt and pants/skirt that look like something the character would wear *totally can't sow for her life* And plus we're all just con noobs in general lol. We've only been to one other con, where this is my one friend's first con. I was also wondering how much spending money in general to bring, like how much money is most of the stuff in general? Are we allowed to pack lunches? (running on quite a low budget) How much will the food there cost? Also is there a limit to at door badges? Because my friends are coming all the way from michigan (if they are going) and my other friend from philidelphia and it'd just be a total bummer if we get there just to find out we cant get in. Sorry for so many questions :P It's just that we're still in the process of convincing our parents to let us go lol. It is quite far away.

Nah, cosplay costumes don't have to be handmade.  If you wanted to participate in the cosplay contest, then yes, it would have to be.  Sorry, but the contest would be based on skill of making a cosplay outfit.  ^^;;;  As for how much money to bring, definitely bring at least $20 if you just want food or to participate in some of our contests (like the riceball making or the ramen eating contest).  Still, $20 isn't a lot and you might not have enough money to buy things like manga, other people's artwork or crafts, etc.  So it depends on what you want.  ^^  And yes, you can pack lunches.  We're not going to force you to buy food here, it'd just be nice if you did.  XD

Food costs are still being determined now, but we'll get back to you on that once we figure that out.  There most likely won't be a limit to at the door badges, but it's first come, first serve, and we do have a maximum number of people that we cannot pass, so pre-registering would be your safest bet (and cheapest!)
