I rarely do intros, but... why not?

Hello, a friend directed me toward this little local con, and checking it out, I'm totally up to check it out.  I am the current President of the Japanese Animation Appreciation Association Club of Governer Thomas Johnson high school.  I am an amateur artist and I enjoy drawing sketches and doodles anime-style.  I like all sorts of manga, with a *special* interest in BL and GL (shojo-ai and shonen-ai preferably, not *typically* hardcore...).  I also like video games (RPGs and sims particularly), cute things (sometimes), and fanfics (a not-so-guilty pleasure). 

While April seems to be a busy month for me (stuff going on in my club), this con seems really interesting too.  I'm considering joining the Artist Alley and/or volunteering as a panelist, but I'm just thinking about it for now. 

I am especially interested in meeting other anime club presidents, especially from other high schools!  *cough*shameless*cough*  Our club plans to have a picnic event, likely in late April, and we wish to invite other anime clubs to attend too!  If you're interested, please let me know!  Of course it's not going to be held on the same day as the con XD . *cough*shameless*cough*

Lastly, I'd like to say, I'm really impressed with this con!  Well, after reading the About Us page, that's just... that's really impressive.  I could never imagine our club pulling something like this off XD .  We're... not so motivated.  But we're still fun!  XD Well, hope all goes well.

You'd be surprised what you can do with just a few assertive people in an anime club.  ^^  Even I can't believe we're about to pull off this convention.  Hope to see you & your club there!

Yay! for more club presidents on the forum and at the con! ^^

I also really want ot meet other club presidents. In fact thats why i am having a local anime club leaders summit at the con. there is a forum thread about it. you must come! I really wanna meet more clubs so we can network together and do events like cosplay picnics and such.  If you give us info on your event i will definately try to get our club there.

Also we are in much need of panelists so please do! Panelists get free admission and if they are in the arist alley tables are half price.

Thank you guys!  Heh, we have some assertive members... but they tend to be of the 'We are assertively determined to do as little work as possible and just be lazy!' variety XD .  Which is fine, I guess = P .

I'll PM/e-mail/something you more information (what we have right now), and then send you the 'official' invitation when we have everything solidly dated, stamped, and scheduled.  Yay!

OK, I'll post my idea on the panel I want to do in the Events and Panels forum, and see if it seems to catch any interest (and if anyone has suggestions on things to better it = D ) .  I've never done a panel before, so don't expect much XD . ...Low standards is truly a beautiful thing.
